Luke R. Dalla Bona, M.A.

Mr. Dalla Bona's university training in Archaeology and Anthropology focused on developing computerized models that predict the location of high potential archaeological regions. The methodology he developed has formed the basis for predictive modelling efforts throughout central and western Canada for the last decade and is the methodology used by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources for archaeological predictive modelling of high potential in forest management. With additional formal training in computers and GIS and digital cartography, he brings a specialized, but widely applicable mix of skills to Woodland Heritage Services. 

As a principal investigator/director, Mr. Dalla Bona has led archaeological projects in areas as diverse as northern Yukon, southern Saskatchewan, and throughout northern Ontario since 1990. As a field assistant, he has participated in projects in Yukon, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. His experience ranges from northern Canadian mountains; to British Columbia rainforests and interior desert plateaus; to the high prairies of Saskatchewan and Manitoba; to the subarctic lowlands of northeastern Manitoba; and to the forests of northern Ontario. 

Mr. Dalla Bona been responsible for projects related to Timber Management Planning; Aboriginal and First Nations Consulting, History and Traditional Land Use Studies, Hydroelectric projects, transportation corridor studies, highway projects, pipelines, subdivisions, municipal projects, GIS/GPS mapping as well as numerous Stage 1 to 4 archaeological studies.
